The Auditorium

Our open air bowl, live under the evening sky.

Live Audio

How Discord audio works

The bowl PA (new)

Tap Play the PA in the hall and sound comes out of the stage itself, with the big bowl reverb on it, louder at the front and softer up on the lawn, in VR too.

Talk from the stage (mic test)

Click On Stage, type the stage code when the browser asks, and allow the microphone. Your voice goes through the bowl PA with the hall sound on it. Tap Play the PA to hear it from any seat. Click On Stage again to stop the mic.

The picture is here. The sound is Discord. Discord does not offer a way to pipe its voice channels inside a web page or a VR scene, so every live event runs the same simple way: you sit in the 3D hall, and you listen in the Discord voice channel at the same time. It takes about a minute to set up, once.

On a computer

Keep this hall open in one browser tab.
Open discord.gg/MNThczh9qN in another tab or the Discord app and join the server.
Join the Auditorium voice channel. Speakers are on stage there, listeners are muted by default.

On Quest 3 or Quest 2

Join the Auditorium voice channel on your phone first, with earbuds in, or open Discord in a second Quest Browser window.
Then open this page in the Quest Browser, tap Enter, and tap Enter VR.
You hear the talk in your ears and see the stage in front of you. Thumbstick walks, right thumbstick turns.

On a phone

Join the voice channel in the Discord app.
Switch to this page in your browser and tap Enter. Drag to look around, joystick to walk.

House rules

Listeners stay muted during a talk. Use the raise hand button in Discord and a host will bring you to the stage channel for questions. Be kind, it is the whole point of this place.
